Africologist is a unique documentary film, mixing storytelling, music, science and technology with the essence of Pan-African cultures.
The Africologist had a successful preview screening at Re:publica, a event organized by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in Accra.
The official premiere of the film will be during the prestigious Transform Africa Summit in Kigali, Rwanda.
After the premiere the film and the filmmaker Valerio Lopes will be available for screenings, Q&As and the thinking behind The Africologist and the rise of Africology as a pan-africanist philosophy and school of thought that is still being defined by Africa’s people for Africa’s future and survival in the globalized world that we live in.
Valerio Lopes is also the director of Cabralista, a documentary film on Amilcar Cabral and his fight for the independence of Africa. The film Cabralista had an unexpected success in the Academic circle with numerous presentations in prestigious universities, institutions and organizations, in Africa, Europe and the Americas.
